Update: It looks like this shoe will be an official collaboration. On Twitter, Aleali May noted that rapper Jeezy was the first person to be gifted the shoe.

Stylist Aleali May today revealed a gorgeous Air Jordan Retro 6 shoe in a shade she describes as “millennial pink.” She describes the shoe as a friends and family release, which means for now there are only going to be a handful of pairs made.
Featuring a pink upper on a white midsole, the shoe also has a pink satin heel tab and lace protector plus a lace toggle. To add some pop, the Jumpman logo is flourscent pink as are elements along the shoe’s midsole.
Jordan doesn’t have much of a history of collaborating with women so definitely it would be great to see this shoe receive a wider release. Famously, the brand collaborated with Vashtie in 2010 on a lavender-colored Jordan Retro 2, making her the first woman to co-design a Jordan shoe. Given that took place seven years ago, we’d say it’s time for another collaboration with a woman.
All of this begs the question, does May have an exclusive with Nike? She’s been doing a LOT with the brand lately.
