Italian label GCDS (God Can’t Destroy Streetwear) made its New York Fashion Week debut, showing a fun and feminine take on streetwear, an event that received an added injection of energy through singer Teyana Taylor, who closed the show.
Themed on a swan silhouette graphic and a preppy green and pink color scheme, offerings were highlighted by cute, high-waist granny panties, all-over-print GCDS coordinated jogging sets and unexpected details like ruffle detailing on cargo pockets.
As much as women steal from guys to create their streetwear wardrobes, it’s refreshing to see a label create a collection specifically for women.
