London-based women’s streetwear brand Aries Arise has announced a two-shoe collaboration with Vans featuring the Classic Slip-On and Sk8 Hi, both of which feature an all-over print of the brand’s bow-tie wearing tiger mascot on the upper with the brand’s name and punchy tiger stripes on the outsole of both shoes. The shoes come packed in a dust bag with the same tiger graphic.
Founded five years ago, Aries was started by Central Saint Martins graduate Sofia Prantera, who’s also behind streetwear labels Holmes and Silas. Prantera is partnered with graphic designer Fergus “Fergadelic” Purcell (behind Palace Skateboard’s famed triangle logo), who handled the cute tigers featured on the two Vans shoes.
The shoes dropped today, September 20, 2017, and are available on ariesarise.com and showstudio.com.
