Beyoncé gets back on her music grind, jumping on a remix of “Mi Gente,” a hit single by Columbian singer J Balvin and French singer/producer and Willy William first released in June 2017.
In addition to her usual singing skills, Beyoncé also flashed her talent for rapping, confidently spitting “Mi gente no se detiene, aquí nadie se quiere ir” (“My people don’t stop, nobody wants to leave.”)
The song’s proceeds will be donated to U.S. and Caribbean communities recently impacted by hurricane damage, an effort that comes on top of her commitment to provide aid to Houston through her BeyGOOD foundation.
Announcing the effort on Instagram, Beyoncé (wearing a Solace London Hayford dress and Off-White web belt) wrote, “I am donating my proceeds from this song to hurricane relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and the other affected Caribbean islands.”
