Chynna Rogers has dropped “Music To Die To,” a four song EP reflecting the Philly rapper’s inclination to examine life’s darker themes and moods. The EP kicks off with “Heaven,” a bass-thudding dirge produced by Heaven In Stereo. Additional producers include Suicideyear, TĀLĀ, Beat Butcha and HONGSΔMMAN.
Part of Rogers’ uniquely intense sound is simply who she is, though the EP’s content also reflect recent challenges for the 23-year old, including the loss of her mother. On Instagram, Rogers wrote, “ima keep it short. thank u. 4 the patience, the understanding, the love and support. this lil project and tour as some of u know, comes after and draws from heart break, heroin addiction, my mama passing, and just not tryna go out to some bullshit music. i hope u enjoy, critique, embrace, but most importantly: share. and ill see u soon.”
Rogers just kicked off a national tour and will next appear on October, 5, 2017 at CDU in Tallahasse, Florida.
