Hong Kong-based Ground Zero has built a global reputation for designing streetwear with a fun avant-garde edge, mixing crewnecks and tracksuits with asymmetric, over-sized button-down shirts.
Among the brand’s fall offerings is a head-turning, burgundy velour tracksuit that taps into ’90s sport silhouettes, riffing of of the Russell Athletics logo and replacing it with “bitch.” Tongue in cheek and modern with cozy vibes front and center the velour tracksuit recently launched online. If the word bitch is not your thing, the brand also taps into other expressions of frustration, including “god damnit” and “bull shit.”
The brainchild of Hong Kong-based brothers Eric and Phillip Chu, Ground Zero began as a t-shirt brand in 2008 and evolved into a full line of apparel. The brand was relaunched in 2015, and made a big splash on VFiles Runway No. 7, a group show for which the brand was crowned the top brand.
Known for mixing streetwear and an avant-garde edge, the brand is consistently evolving into a shining star on an international level.
