Kanye West continues to tinker with the chunky shoe silhouette, revealing a new grey suede and mesh silhouette described by his friend, Denim Tears aka Tremaine Emory, as a Yeezy Desert Rat 500. This shoe follows the Yeezy Wave Runner 700, which was released once in July 2017, but has been spotted on friends and family of West.
While the shoe has a chunky upper, it doesn’t use the Boost technology featured in the Wave Runner 700, rather West went with Adidas’ adiPrene cushioning technology.
Whether or not this ever hits retail is anyone guess. West is clearly testing some looks and at the same time probably is mulling issues related to when and how he’ll drop the shoe.
