If you were paying close attention, you may have noticed U.K. rapper Lady Leshurr aka Melesha O’ Garro was sporting Nike Air Force 1 sneakers in her “Queen’s Speech Episode 1″ visual. London to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the iconic footwear silhouette with the seventh installment of her Queen’s Speech. Queen’s speech 7 sees the UK based rapper flow and style shine more than ever with a music video produced with an all female crew.
In an with Refinery29, the U.K. rapper elaborated on her wish to work with an all female cast, noting, “I’m not sure if anyone else has done that. Also, I watched something Beyoncé did a while ago and she had an all-female band, which I just thought was amazing. I’ve always wanted to do that through my DJs, I’ve got two female dancers, so I just wanted to try something different and work with a collective of females with a journey and a story like mine and try to create something amazing for the females and obviously it’s called the ‘Queen’s Speech,’ so it’s for every girl that wants to feel empowered and believe in what they believe in. I just wanted to work with people who all wanted to get stuff done and it happened.”
