Let us state for the record, we are not among those who believe Melania Trump is secretly miserable in her marrage to Donald Trump and additionally bummed she has to carry out the role of First Lady.
Let us not EVER forget she is a true believing birther who went on “The View” BY HERSELF in 2011 to talk up our President Barack Obama’s need to show his original birth certificate. When the “Access Hollywood” tape emerged, she defended Trump’s brags about assault as boy talk, and as First Lady she not only shows up, but is always impeccably dressed and well mannered. Plus, have you seen her dad? She married him!
All that said, “Saturday Night Live’s” portrayal of Melania (as played by Cecilia Strong) and an India-based Gucci call center operator (show host Kumail Nanjiani) in a skit titled “Customer Service” is pretty cool in that it doesn’t really take a side. More so it shows the quiet and at times surreal desperation of being human regardless of income or location. Melania hasn’t found complete emotional satisfaction in her marriage, and in that respect she’s no difference than everyone else.
