To kick off their sold out “Yaaas Queen Yaaas” comedy tour, Phoebe Robinson of podcast “2 Dope Queens” and Ilana Glazer of Comedy Central’s “Broad City” are collaborating with Wildfang on an exclusive capsule collection featuring the “Yaaas Queen Yaaas,” which in addition to be popular on social media is a signature phrase for Glazer’s character, Ilana, on “Broad City.”
A t-shirt, bomber jacket, cap, and stationary are all emblazoned with the fun phrase along with illustrations created by Los Angeles-based artist Robin Eisenberg.
Discussing the origin of the phrase, Glazer told WWD, “As far as I know, the phrase ‘yaaas queen’ originates from queer people of color in the ’80s, drag ball culture and that vogue-ing tip. It’s definitely trickled into the intersectional feminist movement today.”
The collaborative collection is now available at wildfang.com.
