Gucci is an established player in the flip flop and slide category, so much so that rapper Future included a shout out to the label in his 2015 song, “I Thought It Was a Drought” in which he famously raps, “I just fucked your bitch in some Gucci flip flops.” For Gucci’s spring 2018, the label is offering a women’s version of its slide, updating its trademark red and green stripe upper with a leather-trimmed web bow..
At the same time, some are saying this slide is Gucci’s version of Puma by Fenty’s bow sandal and that is a fair analysis.
