Mutli-grammy-nominated artist SZA shares a video for “Weekend,” a visual directed by Solange Knowles. Artful and simply beautiful, the look of the video reflects what has become a signature style for Knowles including , wide shots, use of eerie-feeling industrial locations and tone-on-tone backdrops, making the visual as much a story about contrasts in color and movement as the artist.
While the backdrops are static, SZA provides plenty of movement, putting her many years as a gymnast to good use, exuding not just great grace but also a god-given gift for drawing in the viewer.
