Columbian American singer Kali Uchas aka Karly-Marina Loaiza kicks off what will likely be a big year for the singer with “After the Storm,” a soulful single featuring Bootsy Collins and Tyler the Creator.
“We can find solace in the fact that we have to go through the bad stuff to truly get to the good,” said Uchis in a press statement. “Just because you’re losing at the moment doesn’t mean you’ve lost yet. The storm may be scary now but it’s how your flowers bloom later, and paradise is just beyond the rainbow.”
Produced by BADBADNOTGOOD, the single is from her upcoming debut album, which is planned for a spring 2018 release through Interscope Records/Virgin EMI Records.
Uchis is about to hit the road as an opening act for Lana Del Rey’s “LA to the Moon” tour. Uchis will be the opener from January 15, 2018 through February 16, 2018.
Signed to Interscope Records/Virgin EMI Records, Uchis was featured on Daniel Caesar’s 2016 “Get You” single, which is up for a Grammy for best r&b single.
