Singer/songwriter Janelle Monáe has dropped visuals for two new singles, “DJango Jane” and “Make Me Feel,” both of which will be included on her forthcoming album, Dirty Computer.
“Make Me Feel” was directed by Alan Ferguson and stars actress Tessa Thompson. Andrew Donoho handled direction for “Django Jane.”
In “Django Jane,” Monáe tries her hand at rapping, revealing a confident flow in a song that shouts out black girl magic with lines including “Y’all can’t stand it. Y’all can’t ban it, made out like a bandit. They been trying hard just to make us all vanish. I suggest they put a flag on a whole ‘nother planet.”
Both singles are available on all streaming formats; look for Dirty Computer to release under Monáe’s Wondaland label on April 27, 2018.
