Rihanna has been signaling she’s moved on from New York for a while, starting with news in October 2017 that her rented four bedroom SoHo penthouse was available for purchase. And even before then, as her relationship with Hassan Jameel grew more serious, the amount of time she and her team have been spending in London has increased. Tipping the scales even further to Europe, it’s pretty much a known fact she purchased a home in Mougins, France, sometime within the past two months.
For the final nail in the coffin of New York, images emerged today of a company moving out all of her belongings from her SoHo spot. Cutely enough, one box was labeled “shoes room” while another read “awards/Bob Marley pic/misc.”
New York isn’t the only U.S. city getting the shaft. According to the NY Post, she put a West Hollywood property she purchased for $2.75 million back on the market in October 2018 just two months after purchasing it. As of January 2018, the space was available to rent for $16,500 per month.
And while it sucks she’s moved on, given the mess Donald Trump is making of the United States, her timing couldn’t be better.
