As led by Virgil Abloh, Off-White enters into the realm of fragrance with plans for Elevator Music, a fragrance collection made in collaboration with Byredo, a Stockholm-based company founded by Ben Gorham in 2006.
Elevator Music is described as “containing notes of sweet-but-not-too-sweet midnight violet and earthy bamboo that mingle with musky ambrette and woody floral amirs.”
Describing the scent’s personality, Gorham told Vogue, “It’s a fragrance for the background, as opposed to the foreground.”
The collaborative effort will also include denim, t-shirts and a backpack, a collection that received a design assist from German artist Carsten Höller.
The capsule includes a 100-millimeter eau de cologne ($275), a hair perfume ($75) and hand cream ($45) and will be available to purchase on May 2018 at Off-White and Byredo retail outlets.
