Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky picks up the mic like he never once put it down in the video for “ASAP Forever,” a wavy visual featuring Moby. In scenes shot in Harlem, Rocky proclaims, “They talkin’ down on my name, don’t let ’em run off with the name. Man I just run with the gang, A$AP boys came with the flame. Gang, gang, they talkin’ down on the gang. They wanna rep with the name, but this ain’t no regular name.”
While Rocky spits with swagger, he also flexes his skill for creating a song that soars, blending in samples from Moby’s backward looping single “Porcelain” from his 1999 album, Play.
“A$AP Forever” is the debut single from Rocky’s upcoming album TESTING. He performed the song for the first time on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon on April 4, 2018.
In the visual and during the performance, Rocky wears a jumpsuit by Australian artist Pauly Bonomelli’s label Hi Mum Im Dead.
