Toronto rapper Drake pays tribute to women with “Nice for What,” a single laid down over the chorus from Lauryn Hill’s 1998 track “Ex Factor.” Lyrics shout out independent women, pointing out they aren’t required to be nice to random males because they bring their own paper to the table.
Directed by 23-year-old Toronto native Karena Evans, the visual is a montage of popular female entertainers. Look out for appearances by Olivia Wilde, Misty Copeland, Issa Rae, Rashida Jones, Jourdan Dunn, Tracee Ellis Ross, Tiffany Haddish, Yara Shahidi, Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth and Victoria Lejonhjärta, Letitia Wright, Bria Vinaite, Emma Roberts, Syd and Michelle Rodriguez.
For those keeping track of Drake Adidas-versus-Nike signing rumors, there’s a prominent siting of Air Jordan Retro 1 kicks at 2:40.
