Brooklyn rapper Young M.A. has dropped a visual for a new single titled “Practice.” Directed by Rik Cordero, in the video, M.A. pays homage to Philly great basketball player Allen Iverson.
As the title of the song implies, the video references the iconic 2002 press conference when he snaps at the reporter who questions why he missed a team practice. In the exchange, Iverson used the word practice with great indignation a total of 14 times.
M.A kicks off the video with a recreation of the famed press conference, wearing a replica Iverson Sixers jersey. Shot in Brooklyn on Sunday (April 1, 2018) the video segues to gym full of supporters who back her up as she spits rhymes pushing back on doubters.
The video dropped yesterday, April 2nd, which was also M.A.’s 26th birthday. Happy birthday, M.A.!
