Paris luxury label Chloé made its entry into the sneaker category with its spring 2019 collection. Now that the Sonnie silhouette is at retail, it’s clear that while Chloé may new at this, head designer Natacha Ramsay-Levi is a quick study.
Offered in a high and low silhouette, the Sonnie features a leather and mesh upper that’s criss-crossed with nylon strap with a padded tongue embossed with Chloé’s signature “o” logo. Thanks to a hidden elastic panel on the side of the shoe, the shoe can be slipped on and off. And while the notched insole is built up, the look is cleaner and sleeker than most dad shoe silhouettes.
All told the shoe is chic, stylish and luxe and very much lives up to the refined Chloé aesthetic.
The high-top is offered in three colorways and is priced at $730 while the low version comes in five colors and is priced at $620. Both are available at chloe.com and nordstrom.com.
