Detroit native Dej Loaf today dropped “Liberated,” an uplifting, uptempo tune featuring her awesome label mate Leon Bridges. In the song’s chorus, Loaf sings, “I won’t judge who you love or your brown skin.”
With two mixtapes under her belt, the Columbia Records-signed Deja Trimble is gearing up for her debut album, also titled Liberated, due out later in 2018.
Earlier in the week Trimble gave fans an opportunity to “get liberated” by offering to pay for any New Yorkers getting married on June 8, 2018, the drop date for “Liberated.” The generous gesture reflects Loaf’s commitment to inclusivity and is also a nod to LGBT Pride Month.
