Rumor has it Beyoncé will be the cover star for Vogue’s September issue. Page Six is reporting she will be shot by New York-based photographer Tyler Mitchell. This will be Beyonce’s fourth cover. She last appeared on Vogue‘s September 2015 issue.
Even more significantly than the cover, this could be Anna Wintour’s last issue as editor in chief of the magazine. In early July, WWD reported, ” Numerous industry sources have insisted in recent weeks that Wintour is indeed set to leave her 30-year post as editor in chief.”
Some sources have said Wintour may leave Vogue for a higher up position at Condé Nast or move on to another role outside of the company altogether. At the same time, when WWD reached out for comment a spokeswoman for Condé Nast stated, “There is still no truth to these rumors.”
While there was a lot of chatter about what Wintour might do next, retirement was not mentioned by anyone.
