A family that plays together scores bags together. Count another check for the Kardashian crew, who’ve been tapped by Fendi for the part two of the luxury label’s “Me and My Peekaboo” bag campaign, highlighting the 10th anniversary of the Peekaboo silhouette.
Images include Kris Jenner with her daughter and granddaughter, Kim Kardashian, and North West. Keeping it all in the family, Fendi used Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown” for the soundtrack for the video.
“The idea was to expand the concept of family, as it’s part of our history, and we wanted other families of women,” said Venturini Fendi in statement to WWD. “In the case of the Kardashians, they are all three of them very strong women, with strong personalities. It’s an iconic family, who is known for its appearance, but we wanted to bring more of an intimate side to the table.”
In addition to the Kardashian clan, the campaign will include Korean-American sisters Jessica and Krystal Jung, who are both singers and actresses; Hong Kong-based mother and daughter Kam Fung and music performer Joey Yung; Beijing-based musician Dou Jiayuan with her mother/photographer Gao Yuan, along with Ewan McGregor’s daughters, actress/photographer Clara McGregor and songwriter Esther McGregor.
Images and video will be released on Fendi’s social networks on July 11, 2018.
