SZA made a triumphant returned to New York where she performed last night (July 28, 2018) at the Panorama Festival on Randall’s Island. Leaving behind the vocal issues that marred her ability to perform during TDE’s “The Championship Tour” in May and June, SZA’s vocals were back on track even if at times she expressed uncertainty while reaching for harder to hit notes.
At the start of her performance, SZA took a moment to speak to the audience about her Madison Square Garden performance as part of “The Championship Tour” in May when attempted to return to the tour despite vocal chord injuries. SZA told the packed venue at Panorama, “Firstly, the last time I was in New York, I was not well and I wanted to appreciate and thank you for coming back out.
Surprisingly, she also revealed she’s dealing with a broken heart, noting, “And damn, I’m also going through a break up, which is ass.”
SZA may be very frank about past relationship issues in her lyrics, but she keeps a very low profile when it comes to who she’s actually dating. In other words, we have no idea who the ex is though we wish her a swift recovery!
Style wise, SZA wore a Zimmerman floral dress (a red version for $1,050 here) paired with Balenciaga Triple S sneakers ($895).
