Cardi B checked in with fans on Instagram live on Wednesday (August 6, 2018) and discussed plans for her Fashion Nova collaboration as well as new music.
Initially planned for a September 2018 drop during New York Fashion Week, Cardi said the collection will now hit retail in November instead. The collection will be launched with a party where Cardi will perform. She also said to expect additional performers including two female performers.
“I want two female rap artists to perform. You know, ones that are coming up. I really love City Girls, they definitely have to do it for me,” said Cardi.
The collaboration was first announced in April 2018. While Cardi now has wide access to top-name labels, she’s often stated that Fashion Nova was one of the few brands to support her from the start.
She also said she will soon release a music project featuring some of the music that didn’t make the cut for her Invasion of Privacy album.
Cardi ended by asking her fans to have patience because her baby Kulture is taking up more time than she anticipated. She added, “Postpartum make me feel weird. My mind is everywhere.”
