Drake has dropped a visual for “In My Feelings,” the surprise song of summer ’18 from his chart-topping album Scorpion.
Shot in New Orleans and directed by Karena Evans, who also directed “Nice for What,” the visual opens in the front of Kiki’s very nice home where Drake (wearing a wearing DeMarcus Cousins’ high school jersey and Plugged NYC camo pants) stands below her window pleading for some of her time and attention.
Played by Lala Anthony, Kiki’s cute back and forth with Drake is interrupted by her mother (played by Phylicia Rashad), who tells him to get to stepping.
The video is filled with amazing cameos, including the City Girls’ Yung Miami aka Caresha Brownlee who wears a custom leather jacket (by Fashion Mason) shouting out her rap partner, JT, who is currently incarcerated.
The video also includes an appearance by Big Freedia and of course New York-based comic Shiggy, who catapulted the song to the top of the charts with a hugely popular #InMyFeelingsChallenge on Instagram.
Also look out for murals featuring Drake’s Cash Money label besties, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj.
Appropriately, the visual closes with an #InMyFeelings montage with clips of Ciara, Will Smith, DJ Khaled and members of “Stranger Things” and “Queer Eye.”
