Nike continues to execute on its promise to do more for women with the announcement of planned collaborations with French designer Martine Rose, Korean-American Ambush designer Yoon Ahn and Colette proprietor Sarah Andelman.
The news was celebrated at an event held on September 28, 2018 in Paris. The day prior, all three creatives were in attendance at Off-White’s presentation, which included a collaboration with Nike. For the past year, Nike has made collaborations with street-informed designers a big part of its efforts to elevate and market its lifestyle offerings.
Rose and Yoon will design clothing and shoe collections that will drop in winter 2018 while Andelman has been tapped to edit Nike’s Unlaced store, an online platform highlighting women’s offerings.
Ahn reflected on the endeavor on Vogue, where she stated, “I consider myself a creative athlete. When preparing for a show or creating a new expression, you have to be mentally and physically strong to execute your vision and that takes a commitment of time and energy akin to any athlete perfecting their craft.”
As of now there are any preview images from the collaborations but they should be coming soon and we will update once we have them.
