Some stories are just painful to write about and Kanye West meeting with Donald Trump at the White House today (October 11, 2018) is one of them. Adding to the strangeness of the event, ex-football player Jim Brown was also included in the mix as was Ivanka Trump and Jarret Kushner.
While West has always held controversial opinions, his alignment with the Trump administration and embrace of extreme right-wing propaganda on welfare and the murder rate is just painful to listen to.
Just one point of clarity about West’s comments on “Chiraq,” Chicago’s murder rate is not even in the top ten in the United States, it’s No. 26.
