British label Lazy Oaf links with animated character Daria Morgendorffer to create an angst ridden collection reflecting the high-school teenager cynical view on life.
MTV’s “Daria” series ran from March 3, 1997 until January 21, 2002. The character was first introduced in “Beavis and Butt Head,” in which Daria was a reoccurring character. Daria was embraced by many young women in part because she reflected an underrepresented young female archetype in that her character was average looking and known for her often downbeat and nihilistic conclusions.
Lazy Oaf’s offerings resemble those worn in the series by Daria and include two t-shirts, two tops, an over-sized cardigan, a yellow plaid skirt, jeans and chore jacket, tote bag and a set of three pins. Items are detailed with phrases associated with the series like “Sick Sad World,” a reference to a tabloid news show Daria is a fan of.
Prices range from $19.13 for pins up to $143.94 for a jacket.
