Adidas Originals debuts a 15-piece unisex capsule designed by up-and-coming New York-based designer Olivia Oblanc, a recent graduate of Parson’s College. The collection follows Adidas’ effort with Daniëlle Cathari and reflects the brand’s commitment to supporting promising young design talent.
Taking inspiration from workwear, the collection taps into a bold blue, red and yellow color palette. Offerings include a jacket, trench coat, cropped track top and Polo shirt, quilted track jacket and pants and cargo pants. Select pieces from the collection feature Adidas x Parlay recycled fabrics reflecting Olivia’s own line which includes upcycled and reworked items.
The capsule is accompanied by a campaign directed by Oblanc in partnership with Adidas ambassador Kendell Jenner. Visuals were shot by three filmmakers: Irish director Leonn Ward, London-based Ronan McKenzie and Stephen Isaac-Wilson.
Prices for the collection range from $50 for a crop track top up to $250 for a trench coat. The Adidas x Olivia Oblanc collection will be available November 17, 2018 globally through adidas.com, select Adidas Originals flagships and select wholesalers including Barney’s, Dover Street Market, Kith, Naked, Nordstrom, Pam Pam, Selfridges and YME.
