Travis Scott ne Jacques Webster has let it be known that a marriage proposal is in the works for his girlfriend and the mother of his child, Kylie Jenner, who he’s been dating since April 2017.
In a Rolling Stone cover story, Scott explains, “We’ll get married soon. I just gotta sturdy up, I gotta propose in a fire way.” It’s a romantic statement, yes, but also one that ends rumors that the two are already married.
The article also provides a timeline for the relationship and explains that Scott and Jenner first met at Coachella in April 2017. And while the relationship didn’t seem like it would be a lasting one, Jenner was pregnant within a month.
Recalling their early days Scott explained, “We was just two kids, fucking around. Maybe, like, the first week, you don’t know if it’s real or a fling. Then the second week you’re like, ‘Whoa, I’m still talking to her, she’s responding, I’m responding. We ain’t run out of a thing to say.’ And it got to a point where I was like, ‘I need her with me to operate. She’s that one.'”
In addition to conversation, Scott says they also share a belief in god and saw her pregnancy as a sign about the relationship. In the article he admitted he was hoping for a boy but once Stormi was born on February 1, 2018, he immediately was smitten. “When we found out it was a girl, I was like, ‘Huhhh,'” said Scott. “But after a while I was like, ‘Yo, this might be the illest thing that ever happened.’ And when Stormi was born, I was like, ‘Life is fire, bro.'”
He was also surprised/impressed by her low maintenance attitude. Scott said, “I like to just go outside and walk. Knowing a girl that famous, you’d think she’s like, ‘I need to go send somebody to do this for me,’ or ‘I need 15 motherfuckers around me,’ but we just walk out the crib.”
And while the world sees Jenner and her siblings as living for the camera, Travis says it’s simply not the case. “Me, I hate cameras. I don’t like people in my business,” he explained, “Going into a situation like that, you’d think it would be a whole public fest. You never know. ‘Maybe she’s into all the photos, or worried about this and that.’ And then you realize motherfuckers is normal as possible. I realized what really mattered to her, which is none of this shit. She’s the coolest motherfucker of all time.”
