Tyler the Creator today (December 14, 2018) released a video of his Golf collection for fall 2018 that was modeled by himself, A$AP Rocky and others. Against a smooth jazz soundtrack, models walked through a woodland setting (which is possible a studio) with leaves falling all around them. As the video progresses, the models also play baseball, relaxed on the forest floor and in one scene everyone appears to be hiding from a police officer on the hunt for crime scene clues.
Tyler followed up with a series of tweets providing his thoughts on the collection. He wrote, “hi. i make stuff. clothing that is. i geek on on color palettes and silhouettes and all that. im into layering a bit now. having the luxury to travel and see new shit ( cold weather honestly) opened my eyes. with that said. i had another ‘fashion show’ if thats what its considered so. also we finished coloring and i made the score stuff at like 10pm last night last minute ha!thanks for watching. again, trust your ideas and go 100 percent with them. if you like it, do it, others biased opinions shouldnt matter.
On timing of the collection, he noted, “few a/w items release next week being behind the camera and clothing and the music etc makes for its own world and im so happy i have that, something you cant purchase.”
Tyler also highlighted some of his favorite looks and pushed backed on describing a swearter/shoe combo as a grandpa look. He wrote, “im wearing a trisha shirt on the car. napoleon dynamite is my favorite movie.also, idk why we call wearing a sweater and any shoe thats not a sneaker grandpa stuff. kinda dumb, its literally just a sweater and a hat without a logo on it ha. that age restriction is kinda weird when you think about it. its a sweater. my favorite look is the trench coat with the pink gelato sweatervest under it and the white croc bag. shit is flameeeeee.
“well, i hope you have good day. go explore. i flew all the way to austria to see some wes anderson museum thing cause why not, gotta explore ya know. dont get stuck. ok good bye good day sir.”
