Converse and JW Anderson continuing their ongoing design partnership with the reveal of the Run Star Hike sneaker, a platform hightop first debuted on the label’s London Fashion Week runway presentation held in London in September 2018.
The shoe combines a hightop Chuck Taylor 70 upper with a stacked midsole inspired by the Converse Run Star, a retro-inspired runner launched in the fall of last year.
Recalling prior collaborations, an upcoming glitter version of the shoe features 2017 on the circular ankle patch referencing the year of Converse and JW Anderson’s first, glitter-themed Chuck Taylor 70 capsule.
Designer Jonathan Anderson launched a very limited drop on jwanderson.com today (January 16, 2019) that quickly sold out. If you missed out, the $155 shoe will see a wider launch in February 2019 on nike.com.
