Chicago-native Dreezy and Detroit-native Kash Doll have dropped a visual for “Chanel Slides,” a single themed on their love of luxury labels (and no doubt a call back to Future’s famed “Gucci flip-flops” lyrics). In the Edgar Esteves-directed video, the Midwestern rappers are shot poolside wearing head-to-toe Chanel while having their every need catered to by a bevy of male servants.
In the visual, Dreezy sports a white, high-waist bikini, belt and bandanna, while Kash Doll rocks the “nipplekini” from the label’s spring ’96 collection with double-C hair ties to match. All of the Chanel in the video is vintage as handpicked by stylist Paris Chea from Pechuga Vintage in Los Angeles.
On the video, Dreezy told Baazar, “I love when two bad bitches can link up and slay in their own way. What girl doesn’t love Chanel?” Kash added “I always thought Dreezy was dope and wanted to work with her. Chanel Slides’ was right up my alley, so when she sent me the record I sent it right back! She’s a brown girl from the Midwest, we had to link.”
Dreezy is set to release a mixtape titled “Big Dreez” on January 25, 2018. The project is a follow up to her 2016 LP No Hard Feelings. In addition, Dreezy will appear on BET’s “Boomerang” series in February 2019, and she also has a role in the Netflix film “Beats.”
