DMV rapper Rico Nasty née Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly has dropped a video for new song “Roof,” a high-octane visual directed by Codie Dobie. The video begins with a literal bang with intergalactic traveling Rico leaving a trail of pink as she lands in a pyramid-filled desert. While the theme is futuristic, the video taps into low-fi computer-generated visuals that provide a retro UFO feel.
Wearing an array of funky ‘fits, the 21-year old includes a shout out to Fenty Beauty with a scene showing her applying Stunna lip paint.
As always, Rico makes an outside-the-box statement visual statement that sets her apart from her peers.
“Roof” is her first new music in 2019, a follow up to “Guap (LaLaLa),” released in November 2018.
