Alyx yesterday dropped its much-coveted “Hero” necklace, a silver chain detailed with a Nike Swoosh, along with signature motifs including a happy face and buckle. Even with a hefty price tag of $627, the chain sold out shortly after its launch.
Considered a much-coveted piece from Alyx’s spring 2019 collaborative capsule with Nike, fans of the brand expressed irritation with how little warning they received about the drop and how quickly the piece came and went.
At the same time, some pointed out the pricing was too high for a silver-plated necklace. Silver plated or not, the necklace is now on grailed.com priced at $2,340.
While the chances of a restock are slim, someone who did cop the necklace pointed out he signed up for emails and received notice of the necklace a day before the launch.
