New York-based designer LaQuan Smith continues to build on a talent for creating garments that celebrate the spirit of the glam nightlife scene of the city they were created in. No, the NYC club scene isn’t what it used to be, but the spirit lives on in Smith’s DNA which he in turn uses to conjure sexy, highly chic, party girl outfits.
Smith’s runway presentation, which included models Halima Aden and Luka Sabbat, on Sunday (February 10, 2019) took everyone to church thanks in part to an emcee who created raucous party vibes befitting the extra cute crowd, which included J Alexander, Rico Nasty, Slick Woods, the Clermont Twins, Dreezy, Ming Lee Simmons and EJ and Elisa Johnson, among others.
