Posh fitness chain Equinox has released a Vogue-themed video celebrating LGBT Pride month. Titled “Life’s A Ball,” the video features the Icon Sinia Alaia, the Icon Leiomy Maldonado of the house of Amazon, the Legendary Veronica Miyake-Mugler, the Legendary Chyna Prodigy, the Legendary Asia Balenciaga, the Legendary Tamiyah Miyake-Mugler as well as Brielle “Tati 007” Rheames.
In a press release, Equinox stated, “This Pride, we’re celebrating life with one of the most powerful forms of movement, Voguing. Physical, joyful, and striking we’re shining a light on what it takes to do the iconic moves, and the community behind it. The House Ballroom scene started in NYC and has long been a bastion for self-expression, communal strength, and the power of movement.”
On conjunction with the video, Equinox is raising funds for House Lives Matter, an organization created by New York’s house ball participants to advocate for the community. For every social media hashtag #poweredbypride used in association with the video, Equinox will donate a dollar to the organization.
