Boston-based Reebok has revealed the first shoe in all female “It’s a Man’s World” capsule and appropriately enough the debut shoe is a Club C shoe designed by Jazerai Allen-Lord, a woman with a long history advocating for black women representation in streetwear.
Allen-Lord’s version of the shoe features a cream white leather upper with a chocolate brown tongue, laces and insole. Referencing her signature hashtag, the Club C on the lateral side of the shoe has been swapped out for the word “blessed.” As well, “It’s a Man’s World” is embroidered on the heel of the sneaker.
A advocate of design with wide appeal, Allen-Lord discussed some of the silhouette’s details on Instagram, where she wrote, “Most of my design choices are seen in the small details, a signature of mine called out by so many of you already. A few of my favorites are: the deconstructed one-piece heel, the removal of the perfs for a more adulting look, using 3 different leathers and of course, the #blessedembossed logo flip, another signature touch.”
Priced at $95 and available in unisex sizing, Reebok and Allen-Lord’s Club C silhouette will drop at midnight on August 31, 2019 on reebok.com.
