Kith Women and Barbie have announced a final group of stylist finalists, a group narrowed down from a total of 189 entries. The six finalists are Damali Underwood, Sele Ortiz, Mekka Gutierrez, Avery Borovetz and Safina-Theard Lewis.
Select contestants visited Kith’s New York flagship store where they were tasked with choosing a Barbie doll of their choice and dressed her using a Kith-designed wardrobe. Finalists were chosen by a panel including stylists Maeve Reilly, Dianne Garcia, Ade Samuel and Kith Women’s director, Jackie Skye Kim.
The outfitted dolls for each finalist are now posted on Kith Women’s Instagram feed. The finalist who receives the most most likes will become the official Kith Women x Barbie doll, which will be produced in 2020.
