Paris-based Fenty has announced its debut collaboration with London-based ASAI, an up-and-coming label led by Central Saint Martins graduate A Sai Ta.
The very limited edition Fenty and ASAI capsule consists of just 24 pieces and includes ASAI’s “Hot Wok” mini dress along with his signature mock neck top, offered in Fenty exclusive colors, iced rose and light matcha.
Launched in 2017, the label blew up this year thanks to a collection of head-turning, tie-dye nylon patchwork tops and “Hot Wok” mini dresses featuring wavy inside-out seams. The label’s design were spotted on a long list of fashion influentials, including Rihanna, who stopped traffic when she wore a pink ASAI dress during a mid-October vacation.
“The alignment feels really symbiotic,” Ta told Vogue UK. “I think both brands have a ground-up approach. We draw inspiration from the streets and are for the real girls we know and love. We both target women of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds, who, in some ways, seek to lead. We’re all about championing big boss energy!”
The Fenty x ASAI capsule launches on December 11, 2019 and is available exclusively in-store at Selfridges.
