After taking a year off, “Insecure” will return in season 2020 and it looks like the show is upping the ante on guest appearances. Photographs and video emerged on social media today (December 20, 2019) showing not just SZA, but also Ray J, Carl Payne, Terri J. Vaughn plus “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alums Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss.
In an Instagram video, Ray J explained, “Right now we on the set, ‘Insecure,’ doing it. The stars all behind me. Everybody talented. HBO, we on the way. You know what I’m saying? And I’m confident, even on ‘Insecure.'”
“Insecure” closed out season three in September 2018. The following spring, HBO let it be known the series wouldn’t return until sometime in 2020. While there’s still no timing for the season four debut, show co-founder Issa Rae announced on Instagram that filming for season four began in September 2019.
