Puma has linked with actress Lauren London for a moving campaign titled “Forever Stronger.” Filmed nine months after the shocking murder of her longtime boyfriend, Nipsey Hussle, the video shows London as shot against a montage of the Crenshaw, Los Angeles neighborhood where London and Hussle made their home.
The campaign acts as a tribute to Hussle who was a Puma ambassador and had created a collaborative collection with Puma that was sold at his Marathon store in the Crenshaw neighborhood of Los Angeles.
In a voice over, London recites a poem by Samantha Smith that begins, “There is nothing to hide here. No way to pretend. We relate, we disagree, we disengage. We are running into each other. We are the song that rights itself, the melody replays in the key of elevated living. We forget the words, we never forget the feeling. Glory and divinity conduct our symphony. We are infinite infinity. Like a sacred epiphany, we are meant for we. We are flowing, we are growing, we are open like the red sea.”
