Rihanna fans are well aware the Bajan boss promised earlier this year she would release her ninth studio album (referred to as R9), sometime during 2019.
Aware her fans are looking at a calendar with only seven days left in 2019, she checked in with the Navy today (December 23, 2019) with her usual cheek. On Instagram this morning, she posted a recently popular meme of a small white dog jumping up and down from behind a barrier. While a wide array of music has been used to accompany the video, Rihanna chose one featuring House of Pain’s “Jump Around.” In the caption Rihanna wrote, “update: me listening to R9 by myself and refusing to release it.”
Known for her own hesitancy when it comes to releasing new music, SZA, who wrote “Consideration” for Rihanna, cackled in the comments.
