French luxury menswear label Dior as lead by artistic director Kim Jones follows up on the much-buzzed about reveal of an Air Jordan 1 High OG with news of a low version of the shoe. Similar to the high top version of the shoe, the AJ1 low silhouette is made in Italy and features a cream and Dior grey upper and a Dior oblique version of the Swoosh.
Putting the luxury pricing aside, neither shoe will be easy to cop simply because the total pair count is very low. Referencing the year (1985) the Air Jordan was sold at retail, there will just 8,500 pairs of the high silhouette, while the low pair count will total 4,700, a number paying homage to 1947, the year Christian Dior launched the New Look.
The Dior and Air Jordan high top was first revealed on Dior’s pre-fall 2020 runway presentation held in Miami just prior to Art Basel in December 2019.
As of now there is no official pricing or timing but rumor has it both Dior and Air Jordan 1 silhouettes will launch some time in April 2020, exclusively at Dior boutiques.
