Following news of Rihanna‘s break up with Hassan Jameel, chatter started up about who she might be dating. Given she’d been spotted with A$AP Rocky several times over the past few months, many assumed the Harlem rapper as her newest beau.
Following Rihanna’s appearance with Rocky on the British Fashion Awards red carpet in early December, Rocky and members of his crew attended a New Year’s Eve party hosted by Rihanna in New York. Just last week she was spotted attending Yam’s Day, an annual memorial concert held in New York and hosted by Rocky.
On Monday January 20, 2020), Wendy Williams added fuel to the chatter on her talk show where she confidently stated the two music creatives are dating. “She’s moved on from [Jameel] after three years and moved into the arms of rapper A$AP Rocky,” explained Williams, who added there were rumors the two had relationship in 2013, talk that arose after Rihanna appeared in Rocky’s “Fashion Killa” video.
Reigning in the rumors, an exclusive source let Us Weekly (the same pub that broke the news of the break up) know that Rihanna and Rocky’s relationship is not romantic. “A$AP has always thought Rihanna was cool and gorgeous, but they have way more of a best friend [or] cousin relationship,” the source noted, adding, “They are very close friends, but nothing ever seems romantic between the two of them.”
Post break up, Jameel’s team is also in clean up mode with news of an effort to scrub any of the remaining steamy pool images that broke the news of his relationship with Rihanna to the world.
