Married to the Mob designer Leah McSweeney last night made her New York Housewives of New York debut with the franchise’s season 12 opening episode. The episode opened with cast members Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Dorinda Medley processing the abrupt decision by Bethenny Frankel to depart the show.
McSweeney makes her first appearance in the episode at Trinity Boxing Club where she meets up with Mortimer Tinsley for a work out. In the episode, McSweeney also shares a scene with her 12-year daughter, Kier.
While streetwear aficionados are likely familiar with the Married to the Mob back story, in the episode McSweeney describes an assault and arrest by a New York police officer in 2002 that lead to her losing two of her teeth. She sued the City and was awarded $75,000, which she used to start up her Married to the Mob label in 2004.
You can watch the entire debut episode below. Look for McSweeney’s grand entry at 05:05.
