Rihanna hosted her first Fenty Social Club event yesterday (April 10, 2020), an event that included music via DJ Kitty Ca$h, Pedro and Stretch Armstrong. The Instagram Live session also included a performance by British rapper Octavian and an appearance by Lil Uzi Vert.
Wearing Fenty‘s latest faux leather drop. Rihanna joined the event from her home [we are assuming Los Angeles] accompanied by Jahleel Weaver and her Bajan bestie Melissa Forde, who was celebrating her 34th birthday.
In between dancing to music by Saweetie, Megan thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj and more, Rihanna took a brief time out to speak to fans pestering her with questions about timing for her eighth studio album.
Pointing a finger, she sternly stated, “If one of y’all mother [expletive] ask me about the album one more time when I’m trying to save the world, unlike y’all’s president… on sight!”
Putting her money where her mouth is, Rihanna donated $5 million through her Clara Lionel Foundation to multiple organizations globally assisting populations impacted by COVID-19. She also donated personal protective equipment to healthcare providers in New York State, and matched Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s donation of $2.1 million to the Mayor’s Fund of Los Angeles to assist victims of domestic violence.
