Supreme made an interesting statement on Sunday with a full-page ad in the Sunday edition of the NY Times, a placement estimated to cost approximately $150,000. In what can only be described as ironic targeting, the ad shows three young men wearing Supreme clothing, lounging under a wall adorned with a giant Supreme box logo t-shirt.
The New York-based brand previewed the ad image on Saturday on Instagram with a post whose caption simply read, “Stay home.” In an effort to encourage people to shop from the comfort of their homes, Supreme announced in mid-March it was shuttering its U.S. and European doors.
In addition to encouraging their customers to shelter-at-home to stop the spread of Covid-19, the t-shirt might be a preview of an upcoming drop. According to news announced by Supreme Leaks News last week, the brand has plans to release a t-shirt whose sales will be donated to those impacted by coronavirus.
