As if Nike SB’s Chunky Dunky Dunk Low sneaker (style code: CU3244-100) couldn’t carry enough allure, the brand provides an extra boost with friends and family pairs packaged in a pint-sized Ben & Jerry ice cream container. In addition to the usual Ben & Jerry branding, the container reads: “Our beloved Nike SB Dunk Low with a good scoop of Ben & Jerry’s.” Adding some fun to the moment, the shoes were delivered in a cooler containing actual pints of ice cream.
Commenting on the inspiration behind the collaboration, Nike press reads, “When we first started talking to our friends at Ben & Jerry’s, we knew we wanted to do something fun. From the hairy, cow-print leather overlays, to the puffy clouds on the heel, to the drippy Swoosh, every piece of the Chunky Dunky is full of the playful spirit that the folks at Ben & Jerry’s have been bringing to ice cream since 1978. As Ben & Jerry say, ‘If it isn’t fun, why do it? So we did.”
While the packaging is adorable, it’s only for the people who were lucky enough to be seeded pairs as gifts like Oski Rozenberg-Hallberg who’s a member of Nike SB’s skate team and whose pair is featured here.
Priced at $100, this very coveted launch will drop at select skate shops on May 23rd and on SNKRS on May 26th.
